Instagram reel cost in India (2026): editing, shoot and monthly package prices

Published prices for one reel in India run from under ₹1,000 for an edit of your own clips to ₹15,000 to ₹40,000 for a scripted agency shoot. Here's what sits between those numbers.

Ask for the price of "a reel" in India and you'll hear anything from ₹300 to ₹40,000. Both numbers can be honest. One is a quick cut of clips you shot yourself; the other is a scripted video shot with a crew. The trouble is that most quotes don't say which one you're getting.

We produce reels ourselves, for our own account and for clients, so we went through what Indian studios, agencies and marketplaces actually publish. Every price below was checked on the publishing company's own page on 12 and 13 October 2026 and is shown as published. Per-reel figures we calculated, and market estimates from agency guides, are labelled.

Editing-only prices

This is the cheapest way to get reels made: you or your team record on a phone, and an editor turns the clips into something people watch to the end. These are prices studios publish for their own service:

ProviderWhat's includedPrice as published
ScrollUp Studios (Dhanbad)Trend-based editing and captions₹900 per reel; shoots ₹900 a day extra
Suraj Digital (New Delhi)Captions, colour grade, 24 to 48 hour turnaround, unlimited revisionsFrom ₹3,000 per reel

A-Create on IndiaMART (Gurugram)Edit up to 1 minute, 720p, 24 to 48 hours₹2,999 per minute
Krishna Movies on IndiaMART (Ahmedabad)Instagram reel editing₹10,000 per minute
Each provider's own page, checked 12–13 Oct 2026. GST shown only where the page states it.

Agency price guides describe the same market in tiers. Jikut Technologies' Rs999 guide splits it into a raw assembly of your clips at ₹800 to ₹1,500, a retention-focused edit at ₹2,000 to ₹3,500, motion graphics and effects at ₹3,500 to ₹5,500, and concept-to-post with scripting at ₹5,500 to ₹8,000. CreateCrew puts simple caption-and-cut edits at ₹300 to ₹800 and edits with motion graphics at ₹800 to ₹2,500. These are the authors' estimates of the market, not their own rate cards.

In our view, what separates a ₹900 edit from a ₹3,500 one is mostly the first three seconds. A cheap edit strings your clips together with a trending sound. A retention edit rebuilds the opening around a hook, trims every pause, adds captions people can read with the sound off, and cuts again after you've seen how the last reel performed.

Shoot and edit prices

Once someone else plans and shoots the reel, the range widens because a shoot can mean anything from one person with an iPhone to a crew in a studio.

ProviderWhat's includedPrice as published
Flashoot, Quick ShootUp to 1 hour on site, shot on iPhone, 1 edited reel delivered on the spot, Flashoot logo on the reel₹1,999 + GST per shoot
Flashoot, Half DayUp to 3 hours on site, 2 edited reels₹4,999 + GST per shoot
Comval IT Solutions (Kolkata)Extra reel on a monthly plan (plans from ₹8,999): script, a shoot brief for you to film to, editing, sound design, caption and cover₹1,999 per reel + GST
IRPR (Mumbai page), BasicScripting, studio shoot in Andheri, editingStarting at ₹15,000 (its FAQ says from ₹20,000)
IRPR (Mumbai page), PremiumAdds motion graphics, voiceover and 4K₹25,000 to ₹40,000
IRPR (Pune page)Strategy, script, shoot, edit, captions, 2 revision rounds; you keep the final files and source footageFrom around ₹25,000
Each provider's own page, checked 12–13 Oct 2026. IRPR's city pages give different starting prices, so both are shown.

Two details matter more than the headline price. First, whose footage is it: IRPR's Pune page says the client keeps the final files and the source footage, which lets you re-cut it later for ads. Second, whose logo is on it: Flashoot's listed shoots require its logo on the reel.

Monthly reel packages

Packages are cheaper per reel because one shoot day can produce several videos. Digistreet Media makes the point plainly: the studio, crew and model cost the same whether you shoot one video or ten, and only scripting and editing scale with each one.

PackageWhat's includedPrice per monthPer reel
ScrollUp Studios, Basic6 reels, 3 shoot days₹6,000₹1,000
ScrollUp Studios, Advanced10 reels, 5 to 6 shoot days₹8,000₹800
ScrollUp Studios, Priority25 reels, 7 shoot days₹19,000₹760
Suraj Digital, monthly retainerUp to 8 reels, a dedicated editor, captions and motion graphics₹15,000₹1,875 at 8 reels
Per-reel figures are our arithmetic: the monthly price divided by the number of reels the page states. Checked 12–13 Oct 2026.

Social media packages often bundle reels with posts, stories and replies, which makes the per-reel price impossible to separate. Our guide to social media management charges in India covers those.

UGC and influencer reels are different products

A UGC video is a creator filming your product for you to post or run as an ad. Ckstudio in Delhi publishes ₹1,000 to ₹15,000 for a 25 to 30 second fashion or model video depending on tier, up to ₹28,000 for a premium 45 to 90 second tutorial, and packs of 5 videos for ₹35,000. Snapsby, a marketplace of ready-made creator videos, lists them from ₹1,500.

An influencer reel is posted to the creator's own audience, so you're paying for reach as well as the video. Ticktime Media's 2026 rate card estimates ₹2,000 to ₹10,000 for nano creators with 1,000 to 10,000 followers and ₹8,000 to ₹75,000 for micro creators with 10,000 to 1 lakh.

Check the usage rights either way. A UGC price often covers posting on your own account only; running the same video as a paid ad can cost more. UGCcontent.in, which guides creators on pricing, puts briefs with paid-ad rights at ₹3,000 to ₹8,000 against ₹1,500 to ₹4,000 for organic use only.

What drives the price of a reel

  • Who shoots it. Your own phone footage costs nothing extra. A shoot day adds travel, crew and location time; IRPR lists the number of reels, shoot complexity and locations as what sets its price.
  • Batching. Several reels from one shoot day cost far less each than one reel per shoot.
  • Talent. Ckstudio says trained UGC actors and models cost two to four times more than nano creators.
  • Scripting. Ckstudio adds ₹1,500 to ₹3,500 a video for studio-written, tested hooks. Check whether a cheap quote assumes you bring the idea.
  • Motion graphics, voiceover and subtitles. Swastika's step from ₹3,000 to ₹5,000 adds motion graphics, effects, logo animation, sound effects and subtitles.
  • Revisions. Ckstudio says most studios include one or two rounds. Rs999's guide warns that "unlimited revisions" often signals no clear creative direction.
  • Turnaround. Ckstudio says a 48-hour rush typically adds 30 to 50% to the price.
  • Formats. Extra cuts for ads, Shorts or different lengths are often charged separately.

Instagram's own rules that should shape the brief

Some of what you pay for only matters because of how Instagram treats reels. These come from Instagram's help pages and creator guidance, or from what its head, Adam Mosseri, has said publicly:

  • Length. Instagram's Help Centre says you can record and edit reels of up to 20 minutes, and adds that reels over 3 minutes won't be recommended to new audiences.
  • What Instagram rewards. Mosseri said in January 2025 that watch time, likes and sends matter most for ranking, and that sends carry slightly more weight for people who don't follow you yet. That's why the hook and the pacing are worth paying for.
  • Originality. Instagram's creator guidance says content recommended to new audiences must be original and free of visible watermarks. In 2024 it said accounts that repost other people's content 10 or more times in 30 days would become ineligible for recommendations. Mosseri has said your own logo is fine.
  • Music on business accounts. Instagram says its licensed music library is meant for personal, non-commercial use and that certain business accounts don't have access. Those accounts may be able to use Meta's Sound Collection, which Instagram describes as over 14,000 royalty-free songs and sounds usable for commercial purposes.
  • Trial reels. Professional accounts can show a reel to non-followers first, and share it with everyone later if it does well.
  • Free editing tools. Meta's Edits app is free (with in-app purchases) on iOS and Android in India and exports without a watermark.

GST on reel production

Most reel price pages don't mention tax. Of the providers in this guide, only four say plainly how GST is treated: Swastika (exclusive), Flashoot and Comval ("+ GST") and UV Soft ("Plus 18% GST"). Secondary tax sources put GST on advertising and video production services at 18%. CBIC's classification lists advertising services under SAC 998361 and video production under 999612, and which one applies to a given contract is a question for your CA. Ask every provider whether the price is inclusive or exclusive before you compare.

How to compare reel quotes: 10 questions

  1. Who records the footage: you, or a crew? If a crew, how many shoot days and where?
  2. Who writes the hook and script?
  3. How many reels does one shoot day produce?
  4. How many revision rounds are included, and what does an extra one cost?
  5. Where does the music come from, and can a business account use it?
  6. Which formats and lengths do you deliver: Reels, Shorts, ad cut-downs?
  7. Do I get the raw footage and the project files?
  8. Can I run the video as a paid ad, and for how long?
  9. What's the turnaround, and what does a rush cost?
  10. Is GST included in the price?

What we charge for reels

Our prices are public. A reel edited from your own footage is ₹3,000: we rebuild the hook and pacing, add captions, give guidance on music and sound, export for Reels, Shorts and ads, and include two revision rounds. If you post every week, Creator Reels edits 4 reels a month from your footage for ₹10,000, which works out at ₹2,500 a reel.

We don't run shoots. If you'd rather not be on camera, a Premium Video is ₹15,500. It uses an AI avatar with a real voice, or 2D animation, and runs up to 2 minutes. The price covers the script, music, sound design and captions, exports in 9:16, 4:5 and 16:9 including 15 to 30 second ad cuts, and two revision rounds.

We also produce our own weekly reel series, Behind the Click. See the reels and video production page for details, or send us a quote you've received and we'll tell you what it does and doesn't include.

Frequently asked questions

How much does an Instagram reel cost in India?
Studios we checked publish ₹900 to ₹5,000 for editing a reel from your own footage. A reel shot on location costs from ₹1,999 plus GST for a one-hour iPhone shoot with no script, while one production agency publishes scripted reels from ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 and premium reels at ₹25,000 to ₹40,000. Monthly packages work out cheaper per reel.
What are reel editing charges in India per month?
Published monthly plans we checked range from ₹6,000 for 6 reels to ₹19,000 for 25 reels (ScrollUp Studios), and Suraj Digital charges ₹15,000 for up to 8 edited reels. That works out to roughly ₹760 to ₹1,875 per reel, depending on volume and whether shoots are included.
Is GST charged on reel production?
Yes, if the provider is GST-registered. Secondary tax sources put advertising and video production services at 18%. Most Indian reel price pages don't say whether their price includes GST, so ask before comparing quotes.
How long should an Instagram reel be?
Instagram lets you create reels of up to 20 minutes, but its Help Centre says reels over 3 minutes won't be recommended to new audiences. For reaching people who don't follow you yet, keep reels to 3 minutes or shorter and make the first few seconds count.
Can a business account use trending songs in reels?
Not always. Instagram says its licensed music library is for personal, non-commercial use and that certain business accounts don't have access. Those accounts may be able to use Meta's Sound Collection, which has over 14,000 royalty-free songs and sounds for commercial use.
What is the difference between a UGC video and an influencer reel?
A UGC video is made by a creator for you to post or run as an ad, so you pay for the content. An influencer reel is posted to the creator's own followers, so you also pay for their reach, and it must carry an ad or paid partnership label under ASCI's guidelines.
How many reels should a business post per month?
Instagram's creator guidance gives no number. Socialinsider's 2026 benchmark of 35 million posts found accounts posted an average of 8 reels a month in 2025. Consistency you can keep up matters more than a target you abandon after a month.
